Abstract:
We present and analyze a model of the Central Pattern Generator (GPG) that controls the swimming pattern in the nudibranch species, Dendronotus Iris. We describe how redundancy of dynamical mechanisms in the system leads to robustness to perturbation, and investigate the control of the system. The analysis is illustrated through visualizations of a derivative phase space obtained through averaging of the fast subsystem, and visualizations of the parameter space.
