Abstract:
In this paper, we carry out a study of biviscosity fluid in a horizontal ciliated tube. The flow analysis has been developed for low Reynolds number and long wavelength assumptions. Exact analytic solutions are gained for the velocity and pressure gradient. Expression for pressure rise is obtained numerically and the results are discussed graphically. The effects of various physical parameters on the magnitude of the velocity profile and pressure are investigated thoroughly. Trapping phenomenon is also discussed through the streamlines.
