Symbolic coding for geodesic flow on CAT(-1) spaces

Abstract:
I will discuss the construction of a symbolic coding for the geodesic flow on a compact, CAT(-1) metric space. This coding allows us to bring the full power of thermodynamic formalism to these flows. Our work also applies to the geodesic flow associated to a projective Anosov representation.
