 Abstract:
The aim of this PS-symposium is to present recent progresses in the field of lubrication theory and its various applications in Mechanics and Engineering Sciences. We expect contributions concerning the study of mathematical models which describe lubrication phenomena with linear or nonlinear boundary conditions, both in the stationary and evolutionary case. The models could be formulated in three-dimensional domains or in thin domains. The study of the models involves their mathematical analysis, including existence and uniqueness of the solutions as well as their behavior with respect to time, to the data and parameters. It also concerns the numerical analysis of the corresponding problems, including error estimates, numerical simulations and various applications.
